Two defeats in a row: Örebro has a lot to work on
On Thursday, the first loss of the season for Örebro came when they left in a 2-1 loss in Malmö. After the match, he was on the subject of how defeat would affect the team mentally after four wins in a row. We have the answer today. It was a frustrated Örebro, and it was especially seen when Daniel Muzito-Bagenda was responsible for a sloppy tackle and put his team on a steep uphill early in the match.
In addition, the team had big problems in the play-off phase where there were repeated passes to the right and left without direction. And the special teams, where the team was so successful the first three games, have not been seen against Malmö or against Rögle. As against Malmö, the team only woke up after two periods and of course it doesn’t last. Now management staff must make sure they put new energy into the team, so they don’t keep racking up losses. Maybe a real fuss in the chains would help.

Bristedt seems to thrive towards Örebro
Last year, Leon Bristedt scored seven of his 36 points against Örebro. After a somewhat slow start to the season, he really relaxed on Saturday. And yes, of course it was Örebro who represented the opposition. First he made it 1-0 on a direct shot, then participated in Daniel Zaar’s 2-0 with an assist. Rögle’s fastball seems to thrive a bit more against Örebro.
Has locked himself in Kovacs
Robin Kovacs was recruited as a planned star from Luleå to Örebro in the middle of last year’s season and did well initially. But with new players joining ahead of this season, Robin Kovacs has struggled to make a top-five spot. Now it stays at a single point after five games. It looks like 96 wants a lot, but it’s almost like it wants too much, so it shuts down instead. The shots end up under cover and the passes are not where they should be. In any case, it is clear that the start of the season has not been as expected.
Pure and simple class
Due to Adam Tambellini’s long-term injury, Rögle chose earlier this week to bring in German Adler Mannheim’s Stanley Cup champion Ben Smith on a seven-week loan. After a strong debut against Oskarshamn on Thursday, the American made a solid new effort in his home debut against Örebro. The American represents extremely hard work in both directions, but he also has plenty of offensive skills in his toolbox. Together with his chain partner Olli Palola, he created many dangers. There is no doubt that it is pure and simple class that ängelholmarna picked up.

Clear match penalty: long suspension to wait
After just over 13 minutes of play, Örebro’s Daniel Muzito Bagenda attacked Rögle’s Anton Bengtsson against the head. For the infraction, Muzito Bagenda received a match penalty, while Bengtsson was led by the ice. A clear penalty in my eyes. The tackle is late, sloppy and clearly hits the head. If Adam Edström and Lias Andersson each got five matches for their bangs this week, this should also be five matches, or even more. Unnecessary is the word.
