Raúl Jiménez gets oxygenated after colliding with David Luiz of Arsenal.
Now the Wolverhampton forward has undergone surgery.
“He broke his skull,” the club writes.
Just listen to understand what went wrong.
Four minutes into the game against Wolverhampton, Arsenal took a corner. Willian hit the ball and at the near post, David Luiz and Raúl Jiménez hit their heads in front. There was a muffled bang over the empty Emirates Stadium.
Both players remained lying down, but the collision took the worst of the Mexican striker who was given oxygen and carried out on a stretcher.
Stops in observation
Lobos won the game 2-1 and now the club leaves positive information about Jiménez, whose skull fracture has undergone surgery.
“Raúl is fine after last night’s operation, which was performed in a London hospital. Since then he has met his partner Daniela and is now resting,” the club writes on its website.
The 29-year-old will remain in the hospital for a couple of days for observation.
“The club is now asking that Raúl and his family stay in peace,” the club writes.
Wolverhampton is sixth in the league, while Arsenal is in fourteenth place.
