On Friday night, Atlanta, Georgia, police were alerted to the Monaco Hookah Lounge nightclub after two gangs began arguing with each other. The situation is said to have escalated rapidly and, according to police, both groups began shooting at each other, The Guardian reports.
The shooting must have stopped when the police arrived at the scene. King Von was taken directly to the hospital, but later died of gunshot wounds. According to Atlanta police, two other people involved in the shooting died outside the nightclub.
“At this time, our investigators believe that Bennett was shot during the first shooting between the two groups, before police responded and attempted to stop the shooting,” authorities said in a statement, according to The Guardian.

King Von released his debut album Grandson, Vol 1 in September 2019 and had a promising career ahead of him. In March, he released his second album, Levon James, which peaked at No. 81 on Rolling Stone’s top 200. King von also had more than 570 million views on Spotify.
