A man from western Sweden is suspected of raping four women in different parts of Sweden. He is also suspected of having abusively filmed women without their knowledge, reports Borås Tidning.
According to the prosecutor, the crimes occurred between 2018 and 2020. In one of the alleged rapes, the intercourse must first have been voluntary, but then the man turned violent. It is alleged that he placed a pillowcase over the woman’s head and held her tightly so that she could not breathe.
The events occurred in Skåne, Småland, Gothenburg and where the man lives. In one of the cases, the last in a row, the man is said to have placed a plastic sheet over the woman’s neck so that she could not breathe. She then asked him to stop, but he shouldn’t have listened, instead covering the woman’s face with more plastic wrap, according to the lawsuit. During a search of the house, the police found aluminum foil in a bag.
Given that the scale of penalties for rape starts at two years in prison and there are four cases, this is exactly what Prison Prosecutor Andreas Ekengren is focusing on.
– So of course it’s hard to see any other sanction other than prison, he tells Borås Tidning.
