Raiola: It is not the responsibility of the players to protest
Soccer agent Mino Raiola, who among other things represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic, criticizes the fact that the players are expected to face World Cup organizer Qatar.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent does not believe it is the players’ responsibility to take a position against Qatar.
During the qualifiers, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark have so far marked Qatar in different ways, with calls to respect human rights.
But Raiola does not believe that it is the responsibility of the players.
He says that it is the International Football Association (FIFA) that must fight for human rights in the host country.
The Guardian reported last month that at least 6,500 guest workers have lost their lives in Qatar since the country was awarded the World Cup just over ten years ago.
