QAnon, which is basically a series of far-right conspiracy theories, has created a flexible network of followers, mainly in the United States but also in other parts of the world.

According to Facebook, around 1,500 QAnon accounts have previously been removed where various acts of violence were discussed.
A Facebook spokesperson tells NBC that the company believes that closing the accounts will limit opportunities for QAnon and other militarized social movements to operate and organize through the platforms.
