During the violent riot, the crowd was encouraged to shout slogans against the Jews. They clenched their fists and shouted “Jews remember Khaybar, Mohammad’s army returns.”

According to the Central Jewish Council, Khaybar was a place where Jews were killed by Muhammad and his followers in 628.

“In this way, it is impossible not to interpret that the masses are calling for the murder and purge of Jews.”writes the Central Council on its website.

The film is available online

Several films from the event have been posted on social media and have attracted a lot of attention. A movie has been tweeted by Emil Moghaddam., 1st vice ordf. for KDU Västra Götaland.

The police are following the case.

– We are aware that the film circulates on social networks, says Ewa-Gun Westford.

– I do not know if we have already received a report because there may be a delay in our computer system. But our intelligence unit keeps track of social media.

The Central Jewish Council believes that the protesters have incited ethnic groups and is now calling on the police to intervene against them.

“Unfortunately, this is not the first time that a crowd has chanted similar threats against Jews in Malmö. It is also absolutely necessary that the police have the knowledge and opportunity to intervene against people guilty of incitement to ethnic groups, even if carried out in a language other than Swedish ”.writes the Central Council.

“Now put your foot down!”

Terrorism researcher Magnus Ranstorp writes On twitter:

“I want to see effective efforts by the political leaders of the city of Malmö against this deep and disgusting anti-Semitism. Now put your foot down!”

The “special event” that the police in the southern region are holding in connection with the riots, and which gives the authority additional resources, will continue for a few more days until September.

“Everyone who receives reports from the public has been told to flag issues that can be construed as incitement against ethnic groups,” says Ewa-Gun Westford.
