The government, the Center Party and the Liberals propose that another 500 million crowns be spent on maternity care next year, SVT reports.
– This means that the state significantly strengthens the financing that is allocated to the regions to develop delivery and neonatal activities. It’s going from 1 billion annually to 1.5 billion and this feels great, Anders W Jonsson, Center Party health policy spokesman, tells SVT.
The proposal will be included in the next budget and the January holidays also want to reserve an additional 500 million for 2022.
The purpose is, among other things, to promote the continuity of the woman during pregnancy, childbirth and aftercare. The millions signify an increase in a previously decided investment in women’s health, maternity care and neonatal care, SVT writes.
