“Sweden is under severe scrutiny and will get worse,” Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said in a press release.
On Sunday he will give a speech to the nation on the occasion of the corona pandemic.
“I want to urge the Swedish people to fulfill their duty to reduce the spread of infection. Together we can reverse development,” Löfven says in the press release.
Maria Soläng, the prime minister’s press secretary, explains that the crisis has reached the point where the prime minister believes it is appropriate to talk to the nation.
– To reverse development and we will do whatever it takes, he says.
The Prime Minister delivered a speech to the nation earlier this spring when the pandemic hit us.
We cannot expect any news during the speech, according to Maria Soläng. The Prime Minister has held numerous press conferences in recent times, and has also participated in various media to comment on the news presented.
Now Stefan Löfven, on the other hand, will exacerbate the severity of the pandemic crisis that we are going through, he explains.
– He will strongly emphasize seriousness and what people should do, he says.
TT: Who wrote the speech?
– He’s the prime minister.
The speech will be broadcast on the Government’s website and on the Government Offices’ own YouTube channel at 01.19.2020.
