Pride parade trains in Uppsala – Uppsala

Just before 13 o’clock, the participants of this year’s Pride Parade had gathered in Vasaparken. A group from the Uppsala dance academy practiced dance steps.

Several of the participants spoke about the Pride on Joy parade.

– We want to show that it is okay to be who you are. That shouldn’t have to change just because part of society thinks so, Umi Jonsson said.

The Pride Parade started in Vasaparken at 13 o’clock and then trains through the center of Uppsala, through Carolina Creek, to end in Stadsträdgården with a picnic at 14.30.

The UNT reporter on the site was able to discover that the organizer had the weather on his side and that this year’s parade drew more participants than last year.
