In the past 24 hours, police have received reports of four passenger car thefts along the E4 in Jönköping and Östergötland counties. The robberies took place near Mjölby, Herrbeta and Gränna between 4.30 pm and 9.00 pm on Thursday.
– The driver has stopped the car to buy something to eat or drink. When the person returned, a car window was smashed and valuables such as a tablet, cell phones and handbags disappeared, police spokeswoman Angelica Israelsson Silfver said.
No person has been arrested for the thefts and police are urging motorists not to leave valuables in their cars.
The car parks in Jönköping have also been exposed before and this spring the municipality had to go out and warn car owners, more about that in the clip below.
