At the end of June this year, a woman was the victim of a serious assault rape near Skavlöten in Täby, north of Stockholm. At the scene, police found DNA traces linking the perpetrator to a rape at Lake Ekoln in Uppsala 2018.

– We’ve done family searches for the perpetrator’s DNA profile and this summer we released a cartoon ghost image that resulted in about 150 tips that we decided to continue with. We have outdone about 30 men but to no avail, says Niklas Kraft

Now the police have produced two new ghost images based on the man’s DNA profile.

– The images are based on the probable appearance of the man. If you recognize the person but doubt if all the details are not correct, you should contact us, then we will decide if it is the man.

The ghost cartoon the police came out with this summer.

In addition to the ghost images, the police also issue the man’s report:

The aggressor is described in relation to the assaults as thin and pale in complexion. During the attack at Uppsala 2018, he spoke Swedish with a dialect and during the attack at Täby 2020, he spoke English. In Uppsala he wore a cap and black sunglasses and in Täby a black hat and black sunglasses, ”the police write on their website.

According to Niklas Kraft, the man likely has good local knowledge of crime scenes.

Scabies is not an uncommon area. But the crime scene in Uppsala is not a place where there are so many people. This may mean that the perpetrator has local knowledge, he says.

Anyone who has a clue as to who the perpetrator may be should contact the police via the email address [email protected] or the police phone number 114 14.
