Otherwise, hockey has been spared match-fixing and only a few cases have been discovered in recent years. Therefore, he was surprised when the match between Björklöven and Mora aroused suspicions.
– Yes actually. We have a directed effort against criminal networks that have entered the sport with match-fixing. There we do not see that there is any interest in hockey, but all the interest is and has been around football, he says.

– Yes. The thing about the report is just a classic police report that is written on a normal typewriter. The police themselves can act on the basis of the information we have, there is nothing to stop them.
Do you have plans to initiate an investigation into this match?
– We don’t have any plans. Unfortunately, this is completely normal for us. We have these types of suspicions and investigations of gambling fraud, bribery, threats or extortion in a constant and uniform way in the effort we make for the good of the sport. It is a priority effort based on an agreement with the Chief of the National Police and the National Sports Association, and there we have already had a complete match arrangement.
