Reactions among Stockholm police employees are strong after DN’s revelations about how parades in the city center went to high-ranking police chiefs who were on the foundation’s board. Many police officers listen with anger and frustration at the actions of managers. None of those who have heard of it previously knew of the foundation’s existence. The purpose of the foundation is, among other things, to financially support heroic and needy police officers.
Several, like the representatives of the Tenants Association, are dismayed by the explanations that the managers obtained the apartments because no one else was interested:
“I am a police officer and I am very upset and honestly surprised by what appears in your article. Me and the other cops I spoke to had never heard of this !! As a single mother of two children without permanent residence after a separation, I am very provoked! ”, Writes a woman.
Another police officer describes how angry she gets:
That this was clearly advertised on the intranet is ‘nonsense’. I had no idea, no one had idea. This is so corrupt. “
Richard Högberg, Crime Scene Inspector at Norrmalm Police, is serving 30 years in authority:
– I think I have not been so upset before in all my years, because it is a fucking double standard. Managers are very quick to initiate labor law investigations for the smallest of the lowest employees, but they can sit and support themselves. It is incredibly serious.

Neither does he I had heard of the foundation before DN’s review, neither of the possibility of applying for financial support nor of the possibility of registering an interest in renting one of the attractive flats.
– None of my colleagues have heard of this. It would have been a much better alternative than having your belongings in a purse during the separation from the mother of the children.
It considers that the actions of high-ranking police officers seriously damage trust in authority.
