In early July, a major police operation began at a restaurant in Säffle.
– What we do and what it is about, I cannot say. It started last night at some point. We are working on investigative measures, of course, it is a delicate situation, Lars Hedelin told the police at the time.
Shortly after the incident, two men suspected of kidnapping and aggravated battery were arrested. One of them is Anders Gustafsson, 42 – Swedish president of the motorcycle gang Bandidos.
Both men were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault, but were released after the victim, who also has a connection to Bandidos, learned about him through a law firm in Stockholm.
Police evidence against Anders Gustafsson
Suspicions of kidnapping were canceled, but suspicions of aggravated assault persist.
– They are still suspected of aggravated assault, prosecutor Barbro Brännlund told NWT.
The victim did not want to participate in the investigation and did not want to testify about the abuse.
Bandidos leader Anders Gustafsson denies wrongdoing, as does his accomplice. But according to police, there is evidence in the form of observations from the scene and the film.
According to information from NWT, the cause of the assault is an internal conflict within Bandidos.
GT is seeking Anders Gustafsson’s attorney, Mari Kilman, for comment.
Previously sentenced to prison
As recently as last summer, Anders Gustafsson was singled out as the Swedish president of the Bandido motorcycle gang.
Gustafsson was sentenced to four years in prison for aggravated battery and extortion in 2008.
The victim was a middle-aged man who refused to pay money for “protection.” Following the beating, which caused bone fractures and brain hemorrhage, the victim took her own life.
Four years ago, Anders Gustafsson was sentenced to a suspended sentence for illegal threats and vandalism.
