– In relation to the arrest, the police patrol has fired their service weapon and the detainee has been injured, but we have no information on the situation of the damage. The person was taken to the hospital by ambulance, says police spokeswoman Angelica Israelsson Silfver.
– The detainee and suspect is hit by gunfire.
The police went to the scene in the center of the city after an alarm that the now arrested had attacked four people with a knife.
– Four people must have been attacked with an ax. They are injured, but I don’t know how badly, Israelsson Silfver says.
Police do not want to comment on whether the detainee is male or female, or which shelter was used in the attacks.
– There have been some witnesses, and we do not want to influence the witnesses on what they could have seen and not. We’ll just see how much more we can say later, says Israelsson Silfver.
A preliminary investigation has been launched for attempted murder against the attacker. The police do not suspect that the incident is related to terrorism.
