The fire in the apartment in a house supported by Östermalm was extinguished at 8:30 p.m. on Monday night.
– We are doing extinguishing and ventilation in the building to remove the smoke. The fire was confined to the apartment and there are no injuries, says Tony Frank.
Police evacuated residents and detained suspects
SOS received the alarm at 7:54 p.m. on Monday night. It is an apartment in a house supported by Östermalm that is on fire, and according to the alarm to SOS, it is a resident who started a fire in his bed and then left the apartment.
The police have evacuated residents and made certain traffic barriers. One person has been arrested on suspicion of arson, police announced at 8.30pm.
– We are in his place there, he is burning in an apartment. We have entered with smoke divers to put out the fire, said Tony Frank, at 8:10 p.m. Monday night.
What is the risk of spread?
– I have not received a status report yet, but it is a fairly modern property so I doubt the fire will spread.
