On Saturday, the annual meeting of the Bandy Association was held at Scandic Uplandia in Uppsala. Per-Anders Gustafsson gained a renewed confidence as chairman of the board of the Bandy Association.

After a turbulent time, bandy-Sweden agreed during Saturday’s union meeting. Per-Anders Gustafsson was re-elected as president and Jesper Kärrbrink was elected to the board for the next two years.
– It is important to show that we are serious about the collaboration we have presented today and that we are working on our development plan and strategic work going forward, says Per-Anders Gustafsson and analyzes the financial challenges that lie ahead.
– More money is needed in the system. To strengthen our opportunities in the future, we need external financial muscle.
Jesper Kärrbrink was nominated as the Nominating Committee’s nomination for president this summer and a heated debate has taken place in recent weeks. Before the annual meeting, Per-Anders and Jesper joined forces and found a common way forward that was also anchored in the nominating committee. This resulted in a new proposal from the Nominating Committee that was presented at the meeting.
– We at the board must take care of this and make sure it doesn’t happen again. The important thing now is that we look ahead. In the long run, youth, women, facilities, and of course finances are important issues. In the short term, priority should be given to sponsorship and the final of the Swedish Championship. We also want a new turn-of-the-year secretary general, a person with a lot of energy and preferably with a past in sport and preferably bandy, says Jesper Kärrbrink and continues.
– It is important to note that very good things are happening in bandy, there is a plan and a conscience. I look forward to contributing my experience and perhaps in part my network, my ideas and my leadership.
