In the NHL hockey league, Columbus and Carolina threw a scoring party when Carolina won 6-5. Columbus’s Patrik Laine scored the first and last goals of the game. Carolina’s 4-3 goal was suspected to be offside and was challenged. It was approved, but the NHL crawled to the cross after the game and admitted the decision was wrong. The league will have to explain this, Columbus coach John Tortorella said.

Columbus has not re-started the season. In the game against Carolina, the team had the opportunity to strengthen its playoff participation as a couple of competitors suffered surprising losses.

Carolina won the goal game against Colón 6-5 and took two heavy points. Patrik Laine made his fourth game in the Columbus jersey and stood out for two similar and enjoyable goals.

The first was a real gem. When ten minutes had been played, Laine powdered powerplay from her favorite position and the puck went straight to the fork.

– Brilliant preparation from Seth Jones. His passes were perfect. I didn’t have to think about receptions, instead I did my thing: powder myself. That was good, Laine said at the press conference.

The Finn’s second goal came in the final minute of the match as Columbus chased down a reduction, but Laine’s 5-6 goal was little consolation for the team.

– I don’t play at the top yet, but the shape curve is increasing, Laine said.

Laine’s season balance is now 4 + 1 in 4 games. After 2 + 1 at the premiere in Winnipeg, Laine moved to Columbus.

The offside situation stirred emotions

After 35 minutes of play, Columbus led 3-2, but in 15 minutes Carolina was 4-6.

– I felt they scored a goal, we scored a goal. Even though we were down, we never stopped playing. It always was: No panic, focus on the next change, Carolina head coach Rod Brind’Amour said, according to the NHL website.

Vincent Trocheck gave Carolina a 4-3 lead late in the second period. Columbus contested for offside, but the goal was approved and Columbus received a two-minute penalty for the failed challenge.

Take a closer look at the situation on the Scouting The Refs site.

After the game, the NHL said in a statement that the goal should not have been approved and that it was all due to communication problems between the referees in Columbus and the video room in Toronto.

– The league will have to explain this, Columbus coach John Tortorella said.

Laine was also disappointed.

– The biggest joke I’ve ever seen. In a game like this where both teams play brilliant hockey. It should have been 3-3. It is difficult but we all make mistakes.

Goalkeeper injuries in Columbus

Joonas Korpisalo saved the goal for Colón. The team’s second and third picks, Elvis Merzlikins and Matiss Kivlenieks, are injured.

Korpisalo saved only 20 of 26 shots, but received no help from his defense and made no major mistakes.

Carolina’s Sebastian Aho advanced to a 1-1 draw with Brock McGinn and played the most (20.22) of forwards in the match.

Florida combed to zero for the first time

In the Florida-Detroit game, five Finns could have been on the ice. There were still only three left as seasoned Markus Nutivaara (Florida) and Valtteri Filppula (Detroit) did not get a spot in their teams’ lineups.

In Detroit, also missing offensive star Anthony Mantha, who was hit, as well as injured duo Tyler Bertuzzi and Danny DeKeyser.

Florida forward Aleksander Barkov, Juho Lammikko and Eetu Luostarinen represented the colors blue and white in the match.

We offered them opportunities and we offered them opportunities

Florida had earned points in all eight games, but went against Detroit’s last team in its first zero scorer of the season. Detroit’s win numbers were written 4-1. For Detroit, the victory was the first in nine games.

Florida had a chance to score and Barkov, who started the season off roughly, was right. In the third period, the Florida coaches moved the chains and Barkov reunited with his old pair of radar Jonathan Huberdeau, but to no avail.

Despite the victory, Detroit head coach Jim Blashill was not entirely happy.

– We weren’t perfect. We offered them opportunities and we offered them opportunities. I think Thomas Greiss on goal was brilliant, he said according to the NHL website.

Kevin Lankinen in the stands

After starting seven of Chicago’s last eight games, goalkeeper Kevin Lankinen according to coach Jeremy Colliton a little deserved rest and he was not in the game against Dallas. The idea is that Lankinen will start when the teams meet on Tuesday.

Malcolm Subban acted as a substitute between the Chicago posts and did quite well, even though he had to take on Dallas’ only goal.

The game went into extra time where DeBrincat decided with his second hit of the night. Chicago thus won 2-1.

Strong Chicago reinforces the positions after taking eleven points in the last nine games.

– The companions made sure that I did not have much to do. To be honest, I feel like I was lucky a couple of times, Subban said.

Dallas’ goal was protected by Jake Oettinger, 22, after fox goalkeeper Anton Khdudonin, 34, was suspended internally. Unclear cause, but according to loose rumors, he was late for a training session.

– We keep it in the locker room. The coach took care of everything and we are looking forward to it, said Dallas team captain Jamie Benn.

Red hot Patrick Kane

Heiskanen played like this until the draw and could also have stood out for a goal. He had a record on the crossbar in the second half.

In Dallas, Roope Hintz (21.10) played the majority of forwards. His teammate and defender Esa Lindell was in turn the ice king of the match (27.18). It was thought that Joel Kiviranta in Dallas, who was injured at the premiere, could return, but he was not with Chicago.

Chicago star Patrick Kane has played up to two goals and in the last five games he has stood out 3 + 7.

The central division table lags noticeably behind. In terms of point percentage, Chicago now ranks fifth with a score of 53.8.
