On Tuesday, the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir broke down after only a quarter of an hour.
The reason was the chaos that broke out on the field after the fourth official, Sebastian Coltescu, called Isanbul’s assistant coach, Pierre Webo, “the black one.”
Both teams left the field of play in a joint protest and the game was not played until Wednesday.
Then the PSG stars put on a great show after a demonstration in which the two teams first warmed up in jerseys with the text “No to racism” and then knelt in the center circle in support of the Black Lives Matter movement before the start.
Paris Saint-Germain won big
The match then started with Neymar going 1-0 after deflecting a couple of opponents and getting the ball into the far corner in the 21st minute. He then added 2-0 just over a quarter of an hour later.
Kylian Mbappé intervened with a penalty before Neymar completed his hat-trick five minutes into the second half.
A reduction by Mehmet Topal and another goal by Kylian Mbappé made the result write 5-1. This means Paris Saint-Germain rise to twelve points in Group H of the Champions League, which they win against Emil Forsberg’s RB Leipzig.
After the game, Neymar also gave a message about his future, which the management of the PSG club certainly appreciates.
– I am very happy here in Paris. I am happy with the club, with my teammates. The idea of leaving has not hit me. We have to talk, we have a good relationship. I am very happy and we will see and see what happens in the future, he tells RMC Sport.
