– Given that we are one of the largest importers and handle tens of thousands of those shipments every day, I think it would have been appropriate to ask ourselves what the effects of a tax like this are and what it means for us, he says.
The Center Party went to the polls on the introduction of the tax on chemicals on clothing and footwear. Its economic-political spokesman, Rickard Nordin, believes the tax is correct and believes that it is natural that Postnord has more to do in the future.
– No wonder it is more expensive from China, for example, if Chinese products contain dangerous substances. It is also the purpose of the tax itself that we must reduce the use of chemicals. Of course, it has an effect when you import a lot from China like Postnord does. But as the system is built, they are responsible for making sure it is simply paid for, says Rickard Nordin.
