In connection with increased sales, the requirements to be able to deliver large quantities in an equally short time are also increasing. Therefore, Outnorth will soon move from the current warehouses in Växjö to the new facilities in Gothenburg, twice as large.

We are in a very expansive phase and the need for more space and a strategically located warehouse is increasingly evident. With the new warehouse, we create the conditions to meet the growing demand and, at the same time, obtain a more efficient, long-term and environmentally sustainable solution for our deliveries and our warehousing, says Harald Ennen, CEO of Outnorth, in a statement from press.

The new logistics center covers an area of 19,000 square meters and is located in Hisingen Logistics Park and will serve customers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany. The move is expected to take place in April next year.

The relocation will be an important and important step in our journey of continued growth in the Nordic region and in Europe. In Gothenburg, we have optimal opportunities to further improve and invest in logistics and warehousing, and at the same time we can benefit from close proximity to our group brothers who are in similar development stages to ours, says Harald Ennen.

The company does not disclose what will happen to the warehouse staff in connection with the move, but writes that it has “initiated union negotiations on the affected services.”

The Outnorth head office and the physical store in Växjö will not be able to keep up with Gothenburg, however the company will move to a new property in Växjö in November.

I am happy that Växjö is and continues to be the heart of our business, but at the same time I regret that several talented and esteemed employees have been affected by the move to Gothenburg, says Harald Ennen.
