Crown drops are on the rise in Norway and all districts of Oslo have been red-listed.
Health authorities now warn that the capital could become one of the reddest in Europe.
– I don’t think people understand the seriousness, says deputy health director Espen Nakstad to NRK.
A total of 15 districts were marked in red on Sunday after registering more than 20 infected per 100,000 inhabitants, writes the Norwegian Dagbladet.
The most affected are the areas of Old Oslo, St. Hanshaugen and Sagene with more than 100 infected per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
Health authorities are now warning that Oslo may become one of the “reddest” cleaners in Europe, and that there may be more and more stringent measures.

– I don’t think the people of Oslo understand the seriousness. Now it seems that people have as much contact with each other as in a normal situation. Oslo is not unlikely to be among the reddest cities in all of Europe if development continues as it has done now, says NRK deputy health director Espen Nakstad.
Increases steadily
Nakstad believes the situation in the capital is worrying, in part because the development of the infection is constantly increasing and is linked to many different outbreaks.
– In Oslo, the spread of infection has increased steadily for several weeks in a row. We are concerned that there are no signs that the number is going down.
The concern has spread to politics as well.
– We are concerned about development and we are closely monitoring the situation. Depending on how it behaves in the coming days, we will consider implementing new and stricter measures next week, Raymond Johansen, leader of the Oslo City Council, told Aftenposten on Friday.
– We are completely dependent on everyone in Oslo understanding the seriousness of the situation and helping to reduce the spread.
According to Irene Taslo, chief physician in Old Oslo, where the spread of the infection has increased the most, it will be more difficult to stop the spread now compared to March.
– The workload to limit the spread of the infection is now higher at the municipal level and the goal is to keep the society open for as long as possible, he says.
Increases among young and old
Above all, the spread of the infection has increased among the inhabitants of 70 years.
However, there is still an increase mainly among young adults in their 20s in Oslo and the rest of Norway.

15 districts were included in the red list.
At the same time, Raymond Johansen warns that the ongoing bus strike in the capital may contribute to the further spread of the infection.
– The pandemic situation makes it important to keep the distance between them and there is a risk of congestion, he tells Aftenposten.
Solberg: very stupid
According to Prime Minister Erna Solberg, the recent sharp increase in coronary cases in the country is due to an “import infection.”
– We got an import infection after the summer from people who traveled to countries that were not open. Since then, the attitude towards being quarantined has become a bit more relaxed, he tells SVT.
He also claims that it has been “very stupid” that there has occasionally been an aggressive international match between Norway and Sweden in terms of strategy.
– Furthermore, at this time there is relatively little difference between our countries.
