The ban on meetings with more than 10 people in private homes will be introduced in Oslo from Tuesday, Norwegian media report.

– We see that private meetings are the main cause of the spread of infection. That’s why we present this somewhat stronger recommendation, which is a ban after all, says health advisor Robert Steen (AP) to VG.

In addition, the municipality wants to ban indoor events with more than 50 people.

All Oslo restaurants are also encouraged to register their guests to track corona infections.

– This applies to everything from pubs to cafes in Ikea, says City Councilor Raymond Johansen (AP) at a press conference according to the NTB news agency.

The new rules and guidelines will rise from the number of corona infection cases in the capital recently.
