Örebro won against the third Växjö

Daniel Muzito Bagenda was not speechless this year.

The 24-year-old scored his first goal when Örebro beat Växjö 6-2.

Örebro got an early Christmas run this year. Successful coach Niklas Eriksson extended his contract for another two seasons.

Närkingarna must have been very kind this year because another Christmas present arrived on the second day. Örebro won the tough game against third-placed Växjö Lakers.

– I think it’s a good start on our part. 2-1 on the board, we can be happy. But we need to have longer attacks before we can be fully satisfied, Niklas Eriksson tells C More after first period.

“Good thing you sat down”

Someone who was really happy after first period was Daniel Muzito Bagenda from Örebro. The year appeared to be a scoreless one for the 24-year-old.

But when both teams went out for a change, he saw his chance to shake off the goal drought. All the way from his own zone, he stepped forward into the offensive zone and safely placed the puck in the box.

Fourth goal against Växjö

Örebro won the first period 2-1 and in the second managed to keep Växjö away from his own area. It was only in the third period that the guests found their way there, and suddenly the match got a bit exciting, for a while.

Örebro responded quickly and made it 4-2 through Emil Larsson. Soon after, Robin Kovacs extended the lead to 5-2. The goal was his fourth against the Smålanders this year.

Örebro now has the same points as Växjö, but has to settle for fourth place as the Smålanders have a better goal difference.
