The first knife cut occurred just before 10 pm at Södra hamnen in Uddevalla. Police received an alarm at 9:59 p.m., indicating that a young man had been found seriously injured and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Police qualify the attack as attempted murder and one person has been arrested on suspicion of the crime.
Seven minutes later, two people were stabbed and several others were chased by a knife-wielding man at the Kampenhof central travel terminal. One of the stab wounds was taken to hospital with minor injuries and the police consider it a serious assault.
– One was cut where the clothing did not go through, but the fabric of the jacket has stopped the cut. So we know that two more people were chased by a man armed with a knife, says Morten Gunneng, an officer on duty in the West Police Region.
All the victims are young men. Police spokesman Thomas Fuxborg tells TT that the two incidents go hand in hand.
– This is a dispute between two different constellations, he says.
