Öis loses to Degerfors with Johan Elmander on the bench

Johan Elmander faced the toughest opposition imaginable when he first appeared as an assistant coach at Öis.

Series leader Degerfors is a tough match for all Superettan teams, especially the Öis, who have not won since the opening against Ljungskile.

Return target

It is wide open. Already in the second minute, Adam Bergmark Wiberg ran to a first shot, but got no more hits on the ball.

Soon enough, however, Degerfors took over.

In the seventh minute, the first goal came when Victor Edvardsen made the return with a shot from Villiam Dahlström.

When Johan Elmander, 20 minutes later, left his place in the stands, where he sat with Öi’s sporting director Igor Krulj and instead sat alongside Sören Börjesson on the coaching staff, Degerfors had a firm grip on the events.

“Drop the ball too much”

And two minutes before the break it was also 2-0.

This time it was Degerfors top scorer, Johan Bertilsson, who scored an inning from first scorer Victor Edvardsen.

During the break, there were many things that coach Sören Börjesson wanted to correct.

– We lose the ball too much and we don’t have the team as we want, said the legend of Öis.

Börjesson’s corrections appeared immediately in the second half.

It is dear punishment

At the same time that Degerfors calmed down a bit on the offensive, Öis began to advance more and more in organized attacks.

At 20 minutes into the half, Kevin Ackermann played Bergmark Wiberg in shooting position, to no avail.

Two minutes later, Öis yelled out a penalty when Daniel Paulson was hooked and fell when he got a good position in the penalty area. However, the referee was not impressed and admonished him to dive.

After a triple change, when Moestafa El Kabir entered among others, Öis continued to create decent opportunities. And towards the end of the match, it was the guests from Gothenburg who pushed.

But there was no more goal in the game.

Degerfors remains in control at the top of the series, while Öis must continue to work to break the trend. The loss to the Värmlands was the fifth in a row.
