Deniz Arda, 31, has been missing since November 12.

The last sign of life for Stockholm resident Deniz Arda, 31, was last Thursday, November 12.

Then he wrote to a friend at 5.30 in the afternoon that he was going out for a longer run.

His disappearance has been reported to the police and missing persons have been implicated.

– We have started looking in the areas where we know it runs, says Therese Haugen, a volunteer with the Missing Persons task force.

Don’t come to the military exercise

Deniz Arda holds a senior post in the Swedish Army and a senior post in the Armed Forces.

Last weekend he would have been at a military exercise in northern Sweden. But it was postponed due to bad weather. For this reason, it was not until Wednesday that colleagues and relatives realized that no one had heard from Deniz in almost a week.

“Incredible attendance”

Since then, volunteers have been searching for Deniz. According to Missing People, many of Deniz’s military colleagues have been involved in the search.

– It has been between 150-300 people. It’s an incredible turnout, says Therese Haugen, Missing People’s Task Management volunteer.

Volunteer soldiers have also been able to send records of how they have moved, so that it will be possible to delineate the area where Deniz may have moved.

Searching the outdoor area

Tomorrow, a new search effort is planned in an outdoor area in Nacka, where both Missing People volunteers and search dogs will participate.

Deniz’s disappearance has garnered a lot of attention on social media and many have shared Missing Persons posts. Sometimes the organization welcomes the public to help search for missing persons. But not this time.

– We want to be able to plan the effort well due to the restrictions that exist now. Now the support is already great. That’s why we don’t want audiences to get to the point of connection, Haugen says.

“Giant moon on tips”

– But we are very interested in receiving advice. Mainly on Hellasgården and Sörmlandsleden between Nynäshamn and Stockholm. But it may have raced in other areas as well, Therese says.

Deniz has short, dark blonde hair and is about 182 centimeters tall. When he disappeared, he was wearing training clothes, colorful training shoes, and probably a small gray backpack with orange laces.

Deniz Arda’s relatives have approved that Aftonbladet recounts the disappearance and share Deniz’s image. Anyone who has clues or thinks they may have seen Deniz should contact the police.
