Obama saw the strategy of the Swedish crown

Barack Obama mentions Sweden in an argument that deals mainly with the polarized debate in the United States.

Obama is concerned with how to regain a common starting point for what is true, which most people can agree on, and which can then form the basis for what to do.

As an example, mention that everyone must acknowledge climate change as fact for constructive discussion to be possible.

Obama: “I don’t agree”

The same applies to the crown pandemic, Obama says, and this is where Sweden’s crown strategy comes in.

– If you say: Yes, covid-19 is a genuine and really big problem. A serious illness, here is science, we can agree on that. And then we have a country like Sweden that decides: “We think we intend to try to attack this through herd immunity.” But there is at least some consistency in his argument. I do not agree with that. I don’t think it worked. But we are within the same reality in our disagreements.

Swedish state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell has said that Sweden’s strategy is not to achieve herd immunity, but to have the infection spread so smooth that medical care is not overwhelmed.
