Oak: here’s a move that could make Djurgården even more toxic

The LHC is to blame for the big loss to Djurgården in Hovet.

A certain change set the stage for a heavy night in Stockholm. He opened up the midfield and like an icy wind, the alert Djurgårdsbacken swept the puck away from one of SHL’s top youth, William Eklund, and then broke his fourth goal there in this relentlessly twisted hockey fall.

## Linköping never entered the match.

These are the moments when a team needs to have an incredibly good goalkeeper. LHC has Jussi Rynnäs. It was traded after two cheap goals in a row and then it was 4-1 for Djurgården. Goodnight.

Not even a small assist from an offside goal gave the LHC the energy needed to topple Djurgården at Hovet.

## Because if there’s one thing Djurgården does at home in Hovet, it’s work.

Tonight the team also had a “spare heel” in place and they chanted, shouted, and clapped for 50 people to sound like, maybe not 5,000, but like 500.

And it is at the point of the blow that we find Linus Andersson from Djurgården. He easily hides in the fourth chain alongside using wolves like Henrik Eriksson and Kalle Östman.

Andersson, 21, was drafted for Djurgården after scoring 22 goals for Vita Hästen last season. A player who needs confidence and playing time in one of the two main chains to have a chance to succeed.

It is true that he gets to be in one of the two powerplay lineups and against Linköping he scored his second goal in the SHL. A goal in the Emil Bemström class.

But playing fourth chain and then expecting to deliver a power play feels tricky. Although Linus Andersson triumphed against the LHC.

That was really what Frölunda striker Max Friberg did on Tre Kronor at the Karjala tournament. Friberg played on the fourth string and in powerplay and scored two goals and was Sweden’s best player in Finland. But here we are talking about a very experienced player.

## If Linus Andersson were to play the lyre together with Dick Axelsson and Sebastian Strandberg, I think that would spark sparks on him.

Just take a look at Sebastian Strandberg. Now he plays with so much confidence in himself and so much obviousness that he spills points without thinking. His backhand to 5-2, where he let the puck slide between the leg guards of LHC substitute goalkeeper Niklas Lundström, Dick Axelsson breathed all the way into the goal.

## So a string with Linus Andersson – Sebastian Strandberg – Dick Axelsson would be exciting to watch.

Niclas Bergfors has been playing with Strandberg and Axelsson for a long time and he does so successfully. But I think Bergfors would also do at least as good a job on a fourth chain.

Otherwise, of course, this was William Eklund’s big game. Two goals (1-0 and 6-2), one assist and, as usual, just as difficult to catch with his quick turns, good passing and mature play.

## Detroit and Los Angeles NHL scouts, who were on the court, must have rubbed their hands and filmed diligently before the 2021 NHL draft.

So the question is how early the 18-year-old striker recently dyed. Here, Djurgården has coached another future NHL player of late after Emil Bemström and Alexander Holtz.
