During Almedals Week 2019, the new leader of the Liberal party, Nyamko Sabuni, launched a proposal for a commission for the electrification of freight transport.
According to a review in Svenska Dagbladet, the proposal came from bus and truck maker Scania and a public relations agency founded by former Liberal party secretary Johan Jakobsson.
Liberals got the electrification commission in the government’s fall budget for 2020.
Johan Jakobsson should also have been involved in the campaign for Sabuni to be chosen as the party’s leader, according to SvD, which refers to some 20 sources with transparency.
