Now the remnants of Tropical Hurricane Zeta are arriving

– It’s an old tropical hurricane: Zeta that has been in Louisiana and Mississippi, among other places, and caused a lot of misery earlier in the week it crossed the Atlantic, says Pia Hultgren, SVT meteorologist.

– During the trip, the hurricane has turned into a fairly deep low pressure that gives gradually increasing winds here during the afternoon and evening towards Monday. There will be wind gusts on land in Uppsala County and at 15-20 meters per second above sea level.

This is how Hurricane Zeta affects us

The Zeta remnants will assault the majority in the areas around Örebro and the landscapes around Lake Vänern, where 20-25 seconds are also expected on land and where SMHI has issued a Class 1 warning.

“Skip umbrella”

How much will we notice about this?

– It is quite mild air at 13 to 15 degrees, and it is very hot for the season. Sometimes it will rain, but there will be a few showers. But it doesn’t make sense to have an umbrella because it will be too windy.

The wind comes from the fact that the warm air from the tropical hurricane creates a contrast with the cold air from the north.

But already Tuesday seems to calm down.

– We can get a good November sun and cooler with about 10 degrees, says Pia Hultgren.

Unusually hot October

Is there really colder weather at the entrance?

– Only Sunday onwards can it start to get a little colder.

October was a couple of degrees warmer than the average temperature for the month.

– It was a very mild autumn, says Pia Hultgren, SVT meteorologist.
