The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) proposes that the country’s government reintroduce entry quarantine for travelers from various Swedish regions, FHI writes on its website. Under the proposal, this applies to travelers from Blekinge and Södermanland, as the confirmed number of those infected with the coronavirus has exceeded 20 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks.

In Södermanland, the figure is 20.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants during the period and in Blekinge 57.7 cases per 100,000.

Travelers to Norway from Finland and the Helsinki / Uusimaa region are also proposed to be covered by quarantine rules.

During the week, the Norwegian government will decide the type of entry quarantine that will apply to each region and country. The changes will go into effect at midnight on Saturday, October 3, according to FHI.
