Swedish golfer Henrik Norlander felt a sense of tension after two out of four days of play in pro-am competition at Pebble Beach course in California, USA.
But during the final two rounds of the weekend, Norlander raged on the results list and the 33-year-old was ultimately far from victory.
The final round on Sunday was Norlander hitting 73, one over par, and he finished with a total of seven under par, giving him a shared 26th spot.
At the top he was American. The competition was won by Daniel Berger with a total of -18, followed by Maverick McNealy (-16) and Patrick Cantlay and Jordan Spieth (both -15).
Berger finished with a putt of just over thirty feet, which was an eagle. The result contrasts sharply with the double bogey of the par five hole the day before.
– I felt like I’ll get my revenge there on the 18th. I knew it would be close to the end and I just walked over and hit a great drive and then hit maybe the best shot with the three wood that I have ever made. And the putt was like the icing on the cake, he says according to AFP after the competition.
