Anna Nordqvist is at the top of the golf specialty outside of Philadelphia.

Anna Nordqvist and Brooke M Henderson have one thing in common heading into the final round of the Major PGA Championships:

They are chasing leader Kim Sei-Young at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square outside of Philadelphia.

– In this field anything can happen, says the Swede who is two strokes from the South Korean.

Anna Nordqvist led for parts of the third round, but as game day was drawing to a close, she was back where she started:

Second, and with Kim Sei-Young in front of her.

The South Korean leads by two shots before the end.

Nordqvist came close to having an even better starting position before Sunday’s game, but the bogey on the 18th hole meant he lost a stroke in pursuit of the main victory, and he’s now five-under-par.

The 33-year-old, who won the Major in 2009 and was -2 on the day, shares second place with 2016 winner Brooke M Henderson of Canada.

“It feels pretty good”

– It feels pretty good. The wind made it very harsh. I made a lot of good shots and kept my patience, Nordqvist says according to the AFP news agency.

– Anything can happen in this field and I am happy to have a good position.

Kim Sei-Young had -3 on the day and tops the list of results with -7.

– I would not like to say that I am nervous but I am tense before the end. I’ll try to hit one shot at a time, stay focused and then the results will come, he says according to AFP.

Fallen power

Linnea Ström, who broke sixth after two rounds, lost everything and instead of birdies in a row, the 23-year-old filled the scorecard with notes of bogey and double bogey.

In the end, it went to +11 on Saturday. In total, Ström is +9 before the final round.

Pernilla Lindberg and Madelen Sagström share 36th in five over par.

The PGA Championship outside of Philadelphia should have been decided in late June, but was postponed due to the corona pandemic.

The players settle for a total of $ 4.35 million, about 39 million crowns, where the winner receives 15 percent of the total prize, that is, 5.85 million crowns.
