The unknown perpetrator left the crime scene in downtown Rissne on foot, according to witnesses.

– We have a good picture of how this has come about. The plaintiff does not appear to have had a part in how this came about, says police spokesman Ola Österling.

Several people alerted the police at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night. The man was taken by ambulance to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but shortly after midnight the police announced that they could not save his life.

180-190 centimeters long

A murder investigation is underway and the police conducted a major operation in the area during the night and early morning, where both the dog patrol and the police helicopter assisted in the search for the perpetrator.

Early Sunday morning, the police chose to go out with the assailant’s report. He is said to be 180-190 centimeters tall, was wearing a waist-length blue jacket with a white print on the back at the time of the crime, and was wearing his hat. He was wearing black pants with white details and red shoes. He was also wearing a white mouth guard.

Police urge people to get in touch if they have seen anything or have any information about the perpetrator.

The claim of obstacles

By 1:30 a.m., much of the external police operation had been completed and shortly after 2:00 a.m., the police technicians finished their investigation of the crime scene and the cordon was lifted.

– This has been the biggest effort we have had during the weekend. In principle, all the skills that the Stockholm Police have had have been in service, says Ola Österling.
