Anyone who would have been wanting to go after skiing during this winter’s ski trip needs to think again. Due to the corona pandemic and the restrictions that apply, several ski resorts choose to put a brake on it, reports Swedish radio Ekot.
– There will be no nightclubs or après ski businesses in Åre this winter, tells radio Therese Sjölundh, CEO of the destination company in Åre.
Sälen and Vemdalen also have the same plans. Among other things, the number of guests in the restaurants will be limited.
– There is a great vision and ambition to get there in a very good way. And after skiing, in the sense that it’s been there, I don’t see in front of me what it will be this season, but rather a good fall after curve that is for sure, says Skistar destination director in Vemdalen Anders Lundqvist.
During the spring, several ski resorts stopped all activities after skiing when the virus spread in Sweden.
