After the lobster plate, Nils-Eric Johansson took a friend home on a moped.
When the police detained the AIK leader, he had 0.56 milligrams of alcohol per liter.
– It was a stupid decision, he says.
It was one o’clock in the evening on 23 August when the police stopped a party in Vaxholm, on the outskirts of Stockholm.
The man driving the moped was former AIK defender Nils-Eric Johansson. He was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and left a breath test that showed 0.56 milligrams of alcohol per liter.
“A lobster slice this summer”
If the 40-year-old had driven a car, the offense would be considered drunk driving, but for two-wheelers, the practice is different.
Johansson admitted the crime and the prosecutor proposes 80 daily fines of 290 SEK, a total of 23,200 SEK.
When Sportbladet talks to “Nisse”, he regrets the spontaneous decision to get on the moped.
– It was a lobster platter last summer and I took a friend home on a moped after him. He lived very close to us, he says.
Did you feel drunk?
– All right. You had been drinking during the night, that was it.
“The decision itself was stupid”
Did you feel unsafe during the trip?
– No, he did not do it. I still made the decision to help him home. But it was not just another decision I made here and there, although for the moment I felt safe.
What were you thinking when the police stopped you?
– I stopped and followed his instructions. It wasn’t much more than that. That it is a moped is a slightly extenuating circumstance, but at the same time I understand that a punishment awaits.
Would you say that you are now ashamed?
– I’m very sorry. The decision itself was stupid and now that it’s talked about, it’s not fun. I am absolutely ashamed.
