The advice begins to apply from 12.00 on Monday and applies four weeks before.
– We must do this to try to stop the growing spread of the infection, says the region’s infection control doctor, Lars Wesslén.
These are the guidelines that apply in the county according to The Swedish Public Health Agency.
• Refrain from making unnecessary trips, both within and outside the region or part of the region
Traveling within or between regions can help increase the spread of infection because you often meet new people, leading to the start of new chains of infection. Therefore, one should, as far as possible, refrain from such trips. If you have to travel, it is important that you do so in the most contagious way possible, keeping your distance from others and avoiding new contacts.
• Refrain from staying indoors where people gather, such as stores, shopping malls, museums, libraries, bathrooms, and gyms. Exceptions are necessary visits to, for example, supermarkets and pharmacies.
You should not stay longer than necessary indoors with people you don’t normally know. Outdoor environments are not covered by this tip. Necessary visits to, for example, buy food or medicine, or training for medical reasons in a bathhouse or gym are not covered.
• Refrain from participating, for example, in meetings, concerts, performances, sports training, matches and competitions. However, the training of children and young people in primary school is not covered.
One should refrain from events that gather many people at the same time, whether indoors or outdoors. The risk of spreading the infection increases in these situations and is also risky with travel to and from such events.
For children and young people, sport is important. Since the impact of children and young people in spreading the infection is low, they can continue to play their sport. Matches or competitions should not be held, neither for children nor for adults, as this often involves meeting new people and because it can be difficult to refrain from participating despite having symptoms.
• Avoid having physical contact with people other than those who live with you.
The council reinforces the requirement to stay away from people other than those you live with. With physical contact We refer to the people you know who are 1 to 1.5 meters apart, and where the meeting itself (contact) lasts more than 15 minutes. That kind of physical contact should be completely avoided.
Certain types of activities should also be avoided if they cannot be done without physical distance from others. It can be certain sports activities, eg. Eg contact sports such as wrestling, ice hockey and basketball; private events, p. ex. parties, weddings, parties, dinners and afterwork; health and beauty care that is not medically justified, eg. ex. massages, foot care, hairdressing or beauty care.
