You remember? Here’s what experts had to say about the crown early on when Norway’s new rules for workers from other countries were unveiled at a press conference earlier this week.
This means that those who work in the country must test negative for covid-19 every three days and live in a private room for the first ten days in the country, then they do not need to be quarantined.
Furthermore, workers from countries classified as red, as defined by the EU, will be quarantined for ten days before they can start work.
– Companies are very concerned about the infection situation. If there is an infection in a workplace, it is businesses that are affected, says Ole Erik Almlid, NHO CEO in a press release.
“Dependence on foreign labor”
NHO is the Norwegian equivalent of Swedish business.
Ole Erik Almlid also says he thinks it is good that the border is not completely closed.
– It is good that the borders are not completely closed, many companies depend on labor from abroad, says in the press release.
However, the new rules can have consequences such as delayed projects and rising costs.
– We work to map the effects of the changes together with our national and industry organizations, says Almlid, in the press release.
