New snow chaos in damallsvenskan – Umeå – KDFF postponed

There is a snow chaos in Umeå.

This meant that the Damallsvenska match between Umeå and Kristianstad was canceled.

Now a new match day is being discussed.

Snow is pouring down in Umeå and the football field was covered in a layer of real snow before the match between the newcomer from Damallsvenska and the top team, Kristianstad.

The kick-off time was scheduled for 3:45 p.m., but when the clock rang, referees and players were missing.

A tractor and a car were in the field at Umeå Energi Arena to try to get rid of the snow, but the persistent snowfall made the work in vain.

At 16:15 the news came that the game was canceled and now a new game date and a new time for the game are being discussed.

For Kristianstad, this means that a long trip, with double flights, was unnecessary.

Even in today’s second league game, the snow added. The football field in Piteå was covered in snow with only 1.5 hours to start. But most of the officials made sure to remove the snow and the game started as planned.
