New research: men feel they have less power in private life

Men have no more power than women. That conclusion is drawn in new research, where the starting point is what people feel influences their lives and what they believe is most important.
– We must expand the concept of power and also highlight the weak areas of men in the gender debate, says Sverker Sikström, professor of cognitive psychology at Lund University.

Together with other researchers in Lund, Stockholm and Gävle, he has studied how people perceive power. About 800 people, most of whom live in the United States, have participated in two studies through a web service.
