“Flash” is an American cartoon about a super fast superhero and a law enforcement officer. The character appears in several different versions.

Now the superhero “Kid Quick” with his civil name Jess Chambers will appear in new parts of the series.

“Kid Quick” is a non-binary, gender-fluid character who uses “they / they” as a pronoun and who identifies beyond the categories of gender as masculine and feminine.

– “Kid Quick’s identity is embedded enough in the rest of the story that another character simply asks,” Do you know someone? “And so you get it, creator Ivan Cohen tells NBC News.

Will save the world before noon

It was important that the character felt natural in the story.

– It is always an important issue. You don’t want to change things just to change, says Cohen.

Kid Quick will be part of the group “Teen Justice”, who in the new series needs to perform after their mentors have been brainwashed. Now the group must take responsibility for saving the earth before midnight on New Year’s Eve, writes NBC.

“The DC universe has always been a breeding ground for new approaches,” said Marie Javins, editor-in-chief of DC Comics. On November 8, “Kid Quick” will be seen for the first time in the series, on “DC’s Merry Multiverse,” which will be released before Christmas.
