Now the regions themselves can decide what restrictions will apply where you live.
In many other countries, different crown rules have been introduced for different parts of the country, depending on the geographic spread of the infection. More recently yesterday Britain’s Boris Johnson announced that the different areas will be divided into three different categories based on the level of spread of the infection, with the result that pubs in Liverpool, for example, will have to close, while pubs London can stay open.
The Swedish Public Health Agency is now opening up to a similar situation in Sweden as well.
May discourage visits to restaurants
Starting October 19, it will be up to the regions themselves, or parts of the regions, to decide on local corona rules, based on how the image of the virus looks right there.
– It can be, for example, refraining from using public transport or visiting shopping centers if it is not necessary. It may be refraining from visiting restaurants and having physical contact with people you don’t live with, says Britte Bråstad, General Counsel at the Public Health Agency.
Regions should also be able to decide to close baths and gyms, and urge their residents to avoid contact with people they do not live with.
The new grant should be seen as a temporary measure that can be applied for a limited period, for example two weeks, but can then be extended.
