The two men suspected of murdering a 57-year-old man in Karlskrona this summer still deny the murder, but one of them has now admitted that he manipulated the body of the deceased.
At a pretrial detention hearing at Blekinge District Court, a 21-year-old man admitted a breach of public order, SVT Nyheter Blekinge reports. The district court decided that he should remain in detention. The other suspect, a 22-year-old man, agreed to an extended prosecution period without requesting a pretrial detention hearing.
The 57-year-old man disappeared in late July and after just a few days the two men were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping. At the end of August they were also arrested for murder. The remains of the murdered man were not found until early November on an island in the archipelago.
Police and prosecutors have previously stated that the preliminary investigation is expected to be completed in the spring.
