Alexei Navalny is in a Berlin hospital, where he was in a coma. He was brought there after being poisoned in early September.
Now Navalny has posted a photo on Instagram, where he speaks for the first time since the poisoning.
“I still can’t do almost anything, but yesterday I was able to breathe on my own all day. All alone. No outside help, not even the simplest valve in the throat. I really liked that,” he writes, among other things.
The picture shows Navalny with his family.

Poisoned with novitjok
Alexei Navalny is a well-known critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin and leader of the opposition in the country.
During a trip to Siberia on August 20, he collapsed shortly before boarding a plane.
He was first treated in the Siberian city of Omsk, where Russian health officials claimed he had not been poisoned.
Navalny was then transferred to the Charité hospital in Berlin, where tests confirmed that the collapse was caused by the neurotoxin Novitjok.
Putin: unsubstantiated accusations
The same poison was used to poison former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia Skripal at British Salisbury 2018.
Yesterday, Monday, Putin condemned what he called “pointless accusations” that Navalny was poisoned by novitiates, reports AFP.
This despite the fact that two independent laboratories, one in France and the other in Sweden, the Swedish Defense Research Agency, FOI, also analyzed the evidence and came to the same conclusion.
