At 6:30 on Christmas morning, an explosion occurred in downtown Nashville. Three people were taken to the hospital, but none of them should have suffered life-threatening injuries. Several buildings on the street were damaged and a large area was evacuated after the loud noise.
It later turned out to be a motor home that exploded and the police announced that they suspected an “intentional act” was behind the incident, but have not provided any motive.
The police have identified the person
According to AP, police have now been able to identify a person related to the blast. The FBI, which is leading the investigation, is seeking, among other things, a home with a connection to the person.
“There is no indication that there are threats of further explosions and we have not discovered any other explosive substances in the area,” said Doglas Korneski, an FBI agent, during Saturday’s press conference, adding that 250 people are working on the investigation.
The police have already received around 500 leads. The police urge witnesses with information about the motorhome in question to contact investigators.
