The head of care for the elderly and four other employees have been vaccinated outside the vaccination plan in the municipality of Nacka. An investigation into the incident is now underway.
The designated manager, Anette Böe, says:
– I made a mistake, of course.
Yesterday, Wednesday, Aftonbladet asked the country’s municipalities if the managers had been vaccinated out of order of priority. Nacka replied:
“We can confirm that recently the municipality realized that a manager of our municipal care production and some other employees have been vaccinated. An external investigation has been appointed and the matter is now being investigated. “

Nacka Township City Director Lena Dahlstedt says:
– I found out about this last Friday and on Monday I started an external investigation. This applies to five people. One of them is the head of the Bienestar community service, that is, the operation of our municipal nursing homes.
Are the other four members of the administrative staff?
– They are the employees of that company, not the health personnel.
What happened?
– All I know is that it happened in early January, one of the first days of vaccination. There were doses of waste and they couldn’t get other personnel to vaccinate. An external audit company will do a quick investigation, I hope it will be completed in two weeks.
Do you have a written order on what to do with the waste doses?
– Yes, I think so, but I think it came a few days later.
What do your current rules say? Can the vaccination schedule be circumvented?
– No, we must follow the order of priority of the Public Health Agency.
How serious is this?
– I think it is serious, worrying. Of course, it is completely unacceptable to lead the vaccine queue.
Are these five people working or are they suspended?
– No, I have decided that they are still in service during the investigation. These are people who are very important to this job during the pandemic and I have a lot of confidence in them.
Do you have a lot of confidence in them even though you say this is serious?
– Yes, they have done a fantastic job and they have done it throughout the pandemic. So this is not okay, this is not acceptable. But let’s investigate and see what’s behind it.

– What I have done is that I have had a vaccine, a waste dose. A vaccine that would have otherwise been ruled out.
How do you see that an investigation is taking place?
– It is very good, illuminate it from different aspects. How did it go, what have we done, get an assessment from an outside party.
Do you see yourself before the vaccine line?
– I can really understand that you can make that assessment today. I’m really sorry about that. I think what I’ve done is wrong, of course, says Böe.
