Where does the monolith come from? Guess if the discussions are hot between sci-fi fans and online conspiracy theorists.
A glowing monolith recovered from a science fiction movie is puzzling in the Utah desert.
The monolith was discovered by the crew of a helicopter flying in search of thick-horned sheep.
Pilot Bret Hutchings, who works for the public safety authority, recalls that someone on board gasped when they saw the glowing pillar.
– He asked: Ojojoj, turn around, turn around. There is something there, there is something there. We have to see it, Hutchings tells KSL-TV.
When the pilot landed, they inspected the metal object, but couldn’t find a sensible explanation for how it got there.
The images of the authority show that the monolith reaches up to the shoulders of one person who is on the shoulders of another.
– I guess he’s some kind of a new wave artist or something, or someone who’s a huge fan of “2001: A Space Adventure,” says Bret Hutchings.
In Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1968 film, an alien monolith reappears.
The territorial management authority will investigate where the monolith comes from, but affirms via Twitter that it is illegal to do something similar without a permit “no matter what planet you come from.”
