More and more high-ranking Republicans are turning their backs on Donald Trump.
They believe that the incumbent president has gone too far in condemning the electoral process.
– This is starting to get crazy, says Adam Kinzinger, Republican member of Congress.
Donald Trump raised his voice sharply on Thursday night Swedish time when he attacked the American electoral process in a televised speech.
Time and again, the incumbent president has tried to argue that the votes should be annulled. He tweeted on Friday morning Swedish time about the vote count in the wave master state of Pennsylvania:
“The election observers could not do their job in any way and therefore the votes accepted during this period must be declared ILLEGAL VOTES.”
“Stop spreading flagrant misinformation”
In tune with Trump’s growing tone, top Republican politicians are starting to turn their backs on Donald Trump.
Pennsylvania Republican Senator Pat Toomey urged in a statement to be patient with the counting of votes, emphasizing that all votes cast in accordance with state law must be counted:
“All those involved must accept the outcome of the elections, regardless of whether they won or lost.”
Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger wrote on Twitter with an address to the incumbent president:
If you have legitimate reasons to suspect fraud, you must present EVIDENCE and take it to court. STOP spreading blatant misinformation. This is starting to go crazy. “

Critical Swedish Trump Supporter
Former Republican Congressman Will Hurd wrote on Twitter:
“A sitting president who undermines our political process and questions countless American voices without any evidence is not only dangerous and wrong, but undermines the foundation on which this nation is built.”
Ronie Berggren is the editor of the American News Analysis blog and a Trump supporter. He follows the elections from Sweden and is also critical of the president’s statements.
– He’s not right, it’s his desperate way of grabbing straws, it doesn’t look good.
Berggren adds that he believes Democrats have used similar tricks and takes Al Gore as an example after the 2000 election.
How do you interpret that so many Republicans are openly critical of Trump?
– Share my criticism. What Trump is doing now is going too far. Those of us who support him do so because he has a tough personality. When you win, it works, when you lose, the worst sides come to the fore.
No evidence of voter fraud
According to the OSCE election observers, there are no indications of fraud in the elections.
“Unfounded allegations of systematic deficiencies, especially by the incumbent president, including on election night, are undermining public confidence in democratic institutions,” said Michael Georg Link, who leads the organization’s work.
